Why do you work for Emotionalpunk?

A short story, if you please.

In 2001, I saw a website named punkROCKS.net. Discovering a lot of bands while learning a lot about the rising music scene--which believe it or not, hadn't heard of "pop/punk" outside of the band Blink 182--I started what was EmotionalPunk. As the site grew, it became necessary to redesign the beast, and it began to grow. 5 years later, I called in two good friends (fluidvisiondesign) to re-design, re-vamp, re-boost, re-iterate, but most of all re-develop EmotionalPunk--and now you see what it is today. With an advanced backend and growing staff, our mission can be accomplished much more efficiently--while still maintaining a sense for genuity.

Throughout our history we have strived to be a reliable source for consistent, honest, and relevant information unveiling and covering emerging artists in the music scene. Though its name may define it as one genre or another, EmotionalPunk strives to break the barriers in genre-bounding and label-strapping, and instead aims to incorprate all sorts of "genre" coverage. As a team we hope to provide you with all the information you'd need on the latest concerts, reviews, news, and interviews.

In a short sentence, I work here to show you where to put your ears, in this confusing world of independent music.

What do you really do here?

As a conductor conducting and organizing a growing array of staff, I work to manage our team to provide our visitors with the most relevant, consistent, and speedy information possible.

I also work to provide news, reviews, interviews, advertising, and maintain all of the main page features as well (contests, downloads, featured artists, etc).

Get in touch with me. I will reply to your e-mail, if it's interesting or relevant--and even when it's not, sometimes.
