If you haven't heard the RxBandits, you're definitely missing out on one of the most innovative new pop/punk/ska/core bands out there. Their single from this CD, "What If," is a definitely awesome song with its blazing guitars and touch of horns in there. It's an upbeat, fast tune, and has extremely catchy and contagious vocals and harmonies. The rest of this CD didn't let me down, and every single song is different. Although I'm not a big ska fan, this CD truly kept me interested all the way through.

The CD has everything; pop punk, ska, and even some "emo" stuff tossed in there. You can tell that the band is having a great time playing infectious, happy ska/emocore. Again, I'm not a ska kid by any means (I was at one time, but no more), but still this CD kept me interested all the way through.

The CD has a definite mainstream approach, especially with the Sublime-tingling sound in number three. It's a slow, reggae ska punk core song or something, and definitely my favorite track. You just want to bob your head with the catchy melodies and harmonic vocals. And, as if the innovation wasn't enough, the RxBandits exemplify a different style in almost every song!

The guitarist's talent is shown through him playing many different styles and blasting away on killer solos. The band is all-around a great band. The horns hit the notes right on target and the drummer's speed is quite good. The whole time, it's hard to avoid tapping your foot to the happy ska sound. It's not happy all the time, which yet again adds to the originality in this CD. One of the coolest things about this CD is the fact that you can tell the guys are all friends having a really good time. Not to say that in other band the guys don't have fun, but I guess it's much more obvious in this CD.

This release is only the beginning for the RxBandits, and the innovation continues on in their most recent release, "Progress." I love how this band doesn't seem to care about the mainstream pop punk sound, or any sound: they are what they want to be. And it isn't half bad. Especially if you're into poppy ska music that you can tap your foot to constantly.
